I took a trip over the last weekend in February 2004 from
Bangalore to Badami. It's just over 500 Km north-west of
Bangalore, so that's a very long bus ride (it's listed as
11 hours, but 13 is more accurate). I took an overnight
bus on the way out, and a day bus on the way back.
